Becoming Okay With Yourself

by Harry Palmer

If you roll your eyes when some one preaches about self-love, self-respect or self-esteem, you're not alone. These concepts have too frequently been associated with practices and behaviors that could more accurately be described as egocentric, self-conceit or vanity. Conversations gravitate toward how to raise someone else's self- esteem or self-respect, as if these were qualities that could be brought forth with a little environmental manipulation, therapy, and a timely compliment or two.

Attempting to cure one's own suffering by advising another is nothing new. Sacrifice. Transference.

The truth is that self qualities are private affairs. When they are asserted or displayed for someone else, they have already been lost.

Avatar Masters have long under stood that recovering these self qualities is a necessary first step before any real spiritual evolvement can occur. That's where Avatar begins.
