The Hindu call it the divine ground; the Buddhists call it absolute reality; the Christians call it God. It doesn't matter what you call it. There's no point in arguing over labels, because there's no label that can describe it. Maybe the word that comes closest is descriptionless, but it too, misses.

All that is, all description, all creation, space, time, and energy ride around it, inside it, and on it. It is the indescribable within which the describable rests. All things are connected by this not-nothing, not-something that arises from nowhere, is everywhere incomprehensible and unfathomable, immeasurable and inexpressible. Sometimes, by looking directly into the reflection of one's own eyes and relaxing, it can be felt, but still it escapes description. The only evidence I can give for it is the fact that I am talking from it! Near misses and what it is not are as close as words can approach it. The Great All Behind. Behind the past, behind the future, behind the is, behind the isn't. Behind it all. It's the outside center. It's the central edge. It's the non-spot from which anything can be created or discreated. To know it is not to say it; to say it is to lose it.

So do you wonder why I bring it up at all?

Well, besides the fact that it's fun to almost think about it...to think around it, it's what we share. And while it's all of us, it's a unlikely that we're all of it.

It's the unity from which the multi-dimensional "I" arises. It is the source of the creating energy that "I's" channel into the world. It is the no-space place where every being, every level of consciousness, every alternate reality--occurring--simultaneously, has it's beginning and it's end. It is the essence that shines through "I".
