Darla Hans
Yuji Takashi was born on the tropical island of Amami, Japan. He first took Avatar in May of 1994 and immediately followed that with the Master and Wizard courses. Yuji, who lives in Osaka, is also a Star's Edge Trainer. Along with other Masters, Yuji has supported the expansion of Avatar in Japan, where today there are over 340 Masters and Wizards. AJ: What do you feel is special about Avatar?
Yuji: There are so many special things about Avatar. Do you remember when we used to learn math at school? The more we learned, the more complicated things got. But with the path of Avatar, the deeper I understand with experience through the exercises, the simpler it gets.
I think it's because Avatar is a world lesson instead of a word lesson, and also because Avatar is about ME, and what and how I experience in this world.
AJ:
What is your most interesting experience since delivering Avatar?
Yuji: It is so difficult to take one story out, because all six years experiences are actually amazing and very interesting (big laugh). But do not assume that my life is always happy and perfect since I became an Avatar Master. I went through a divorce, and I was in difficult times financially at the beginning. But luckily we have so many tools to handle any difficult situations.
If I were to choose one thing, what I think is the most memorable is when students finish the ultimate process and come out to the room where they are announced to be a new Avatar. When I see their shining, glorious eyes with sincere appreciation, and they don't have any limitation, and they are fully excited about their future. That is the time I feel so grateful that we have one more person who is going
to take full responsibility for their life and will contribute to the creation of Enlightened Planetary Civilization. I also feel grateful that I have a license to share this experience with people.
AJ: What do you feel is your role in assisting planetary transformation?
Yuji: As a Star's Edge Trainer, I am committed to contribute to the expansion of Avatar in Japan and Asia. Recently, the momentum we have in Japan is extraordinary. At the end of 1998, we brought the Star's Edge Trainers to Japan and organized a Masters Empowerment Workshop and a cooperative delivery with a Trainer. The biggest benefit from these creations was the alignment of Masters'. Many students from those courses decided to go on to The Master Course. This type of group delivery is very popular in Japan now.
AJ: What do you think you'll be doing in five years?
Yuji: Basically I will be doing almost the same thing. Compared to five years ago when I just started this work, people take Avatar differently. I feel that a lot more people are ready for Avatar. They are looking for something like this. So things are going to change rapidly in the next five years.
I would like to see at least 100 students from Japan for The Avatar Professional Course and 100 students from Japan for The Avatar Wizard Course in 2001.1 want to invite everybody for this game.

AJ: How did you come to find
Avatar?
Lauch: One day my business partner called me excited about a
great course he had taken. He believed it would fit perfectly with our work. We were interested in
how beliefs influence employee performance and organizational results. It was The Avatar Course.
He suggested I take it and see if I agreed. I took Avatar in November 1990 and Masters in December. He was right. A few months later we added Avatar to the courses we offered.
AJ:
How did your life change after Avatar?
Lauch: Before Avatar I had done extensive reading, taken many courses and obtained licenses to teach some of them, learned and practiced several types of meditation and had even done the fire-walk. Some of it stuck. But not much. Results were usually random and evasive. Also, if a technique didn't work, it was usually hard to pin down why. And if I did figure out why, it was usually after the fact, too late. With the Avatar tools, and this is a real biggie for me, I know beforehand I can't fool myself.
My personal awareness has increased to an incredible level and continues to do so. When I'm getting into most situations, I'm aware. I can be deliberate and
decide which way to go rather than reacting, unless I decide to react. Fewer and fewer
emotionally charged arguments based on rigid viewpoints or cherished identities. Very seldom nowadays does it dawn on me an hour later, a day later, a week later, "Oh that's what I participated in." Nowadays, I sense it right away.
I have no choice but to accept responsibility for whatever I create in my life, not selectively but across the board. It's so much
better than spending energy trying to find someone or something to blame. I now recognize and appreciate the power available to me from being source, not playing victim. I am more open to examining points of view that differ from mine, and I can change mine more easily. Many cherished but really useless former identities have fallen away, and I have the tools to handle others as I become aware of them.
Nothing I had done before had had such a dramatic effect, and nothing has since.
AJ: What do you feel is special about Avatar?
Lauch: The Avatar Course is the most comprehensive set of tools for personal empowerment and managing life that I have ever seen. Most of what I have seen elsewhere is in Avatar, plus more. You can use it for anything. The Avatar tools are easy to use, and the course is special because students who complete it successfully know how to use them. Unlike many experiential courses, students taking Avatar get to practice using the tools on course. Not once or twice, but until they are able to use them. In addition, Avatar does not require that you accept any particular belief or set of beliefs. You become your own guru.
AJ: What is your most interesting or memorable experience since delivering Avatar?
Lauch: There have been many interesting and memorable experiences. In general, I am always amazed and delighted with the total transformation of an individual that occurs in just nine days and the dramatic results that can be achieved from a single exercise. Through tears of joy and charged with emotion, statements like, "Is that all I had to do?" "I got it! I got it!" and "Wow! This is great" are quite common. I had one student
who at the end of the first day of Resurfacing said, "I already got my money's worth. All the rest will be extra." As an Avatar Master I am always grateful and consider it a privilege to be a small part of effecting such life-changing results.
AJ: What do you feel is your role in assisting planetary transformation?
Lauch: My primary job is to continue to clean up my own stuff and keep improving my level of awareness.
I believe that as I become more aware it will be easier to be totally present for people with whom I come in contact. As a result, whether communicating about Avatar or anything else, they will get from me a desire for the Avatar experience, and as they join the increasing number of Avatars, will contribute to the growth of tolerance and the integration of beliefs that contribute to planetary transformation.
Darla Hans is a Master/Wizard who has lived in Alaska for 29 years
and has been delivering Avatar there
since 1994. Until a year and a half ago she was splitting her time between her accounting career and
delivering Avatar. Now she is delivering Avatar full time from her comfortable home that backs up to a beautiful
forested park. One of her future dreams is to have a Master Course in Alaska. Darla can be reached at 907-

AJ: How did you come to find Avatar?
Darla: An Avatar Journal arrived in the mail in April 1993.1 read it front to back and was
amazed to find what I had been looking for since I was about 19. I had always believed I was the one
who was creating my life and that I could create whatever I wanted, but in my searching I still didn't
really have a clue as to how to do it. Avatar sounded like it was what I was looking for and in a short
amount of time I could be licensed to teach it. There was a course scheduled in my area in June. I did The Avatar Course, went on to The Master Course and was licensed to deliver that same year.
AJ:
How did your life change after Avatar?
Darla: I have explored many different belief systems: meditation, healing arts, self-awareness seminars, shelves of self-help books and tape sets, etc. I received good gains from some of them but would soon after lose that gain and feel like I was starting over again. When I did Avatar, the gain was so big, far beyond what I had imagined. And in using the tools I continue to get great gains. It's exponential growth. Knowing that I can create what I want, when I want has changed everything in my life.
AJ: What do you feel is your role in assisting planetary transformation?
Darla: The freedom to choose, to have, to be and to experience what I prefer is a transformation every time I achieve it. When I create more joy in my life it affects every one around me. And when the Avatar students let go of limiting beliefs, they experience more joy and their lives are transformed. I love being a part of this process. The more courses I teach, the more Avatars there are, the more Masters there are, the more Avatars there are. It's great! An Enlightened Planet!
