SOME WORDS FOR THE

MUSIC IN MY UNIVERSE

And so I have done this thing called Avatar, And discovered I really am my own Muse.

I sing with joy at the beauty unfolding.

You experience, I was told, what you believe; And, oh, did I find belief in pain.

By severe limitation I had defined myself — But of these things I say now “This is Not—I”.

Freedom is knowing you can experience anything; The ultimate belief is in yourself.

Knowing you are part of a Cosmic Consciousness, You need no false gods to which to bow down.

My pessimistic view has become one of optimism, I expect good things to come m~ way.

An, lo and behold, if riot exactly as expected, In my universe fortuitous events do occur.

A new opportunity comes just when desired;

The right people appear at most opportune times. Instead of pining and pushing and resisting,

I’m learning to let things work out for the best -

And learning how I create myself and my realities, And not counter-creating against the flow,

And reaching out and touching others’ universes, And finding it is so easy to love.

All this remains an ongoing process,

There is still much to shed and much to create.

I do find new trials, they’re really opportunities To learn new lessons and find new ways to go.

I’m learning to put aside thoughts of duality,

For as we develop true spiritual insight,

We find we operate in all realms and realities.

I now rely less on other persons’ approval, And just do what seems best in my universe. But this is not being entirely selfish — You don’t need my approval to operate in yours.

Now, there are existences that have our agreement; ‘Tho based on beliefs we can ultimately change.

But now I reach through our universes to touch you And find you are beautiful and - My God - so am I!
