On October 14, 1987, I incorporated a new psychic research center
called Vanalaya. The events that led up to this are, I think, of some meaning
and interest. A little over a year ago an acquaintance of mine, Harry Palmer of
Elmira, New York, announced that he had discovered a new process that
liberated one from the confines and limits of one’s own mind —- calling this
process “Avatar”. Knowing what little I did of Harry, I did not believe that
he would be capable of discovering anything significant. I threw his
information in a drawer without reading it with the comment that he had some
balls to call whatever he had discovered “Avatar,” a Sanskrit word meaning a
spiritual being who had achieved a state of totally clean mind and body. In August of this year events led to a situation in which I went
to California where Avatar was being offered and did it. I began with much
skepticism. By the fourth day I realized what Avatar was. I was absolutely
and without reservation. . . stunned. Harry had, indeed, discovered what he
said he had -- and the implications were tremendous. From an out—of—the—way
place, Elmira, has come a discovery of tremendous importance. For those that
do Avatar, consciousness can be cleaned of all restrictive, negative,
limiting thought forms that keep the individual in a fixed condition enabling
that person to step back into life with a clear and limitless horizon of
consciousness. This alone enables the individual to begin to create life, as
he or she would best like to have it. But beyond that the implications are more profound and hint of
the miraculous in many directions. Along the lines of my special interest are
the psychic realms of healing, clairvoyance, telepathy and prophecy. Avatar
has special meaning relative to these, and as a result of doing Avatar these
psychic realms are definitely capable of being enhanced in those individuals
who have an interest in doing so. Avatar, in fact, releases all the blocks
parapsychology is so used to finding -- and is incapable of dealing with. My own point of view is that Avatar is the most exquisite thing I
have ever encountered in life. This estimation is based against at least a
working familiarity with most other “processes” that have been evolved. It is
stunning, remarkable and miraculous —— while being easy, simple and quick. I
have no reservation in using these superlatives and, to the best of my
knowledge, nothing like Avatar has ever happened in our Western culture. Yet,
with Avatar as a prerequisite to an unfettered creative potential based upon
universal love and harmony, the best is yet to come. With greatest affection, Ingo Swann In This Issue Avatar Overdrive Archive
