A FEW MINUTES WITH HARRY PALMER

A few weeks ago I
received a cassette tape containing an introductory evening with Harry Palmer
in Santa Monica California. I was intrigued by his talk which prompted this
interview - Editor (Inner Quest) Q: I listened to a lecture you have on Avatar in Santa Monica and heard you talk about the meteoric expansion of the Avatar network. I wonder if you could give us a brief overview of what Avatar is?
A: Sure. I have been
involved with counseling and self-discovery programs since 1963 and Avatar is
a distillation of Eastern philosophy, Western psychology and a generous
helping of metaphysics. It is actually a powerful experiential process, but
deceptively simple when converted into words and symbols for understanding
Basically, it embraces the idea that we each create our own reality and can
change it. Q: How does one create his or her reality? A: Basically,
individuals have beliefs, which serve as blueprints, and the imagination uses
the blueprints to construct an experience that we label reality. If you
believe something will go right, the imagination will create a right
experience for you. What Avatar does for a person is it enables them to
return to the level of the blueprints and redraft them. Q: I heard you talk about a Universal process in Avatar that permits an individual to change something in another person’s universe. That brings up certain question of ethics. How do Avatars handle this issue?
A: The code of
ethics of an Avatar goes like this: “A creation (communication, idea, product or service) is
ethical to the degree that it is considered valuable by those most directly
effected by it.” Q: How do you see the Avatar program contributing to the planet's growth in consciousness?
A: The mission
of Avatar in the world is to catalyze the integration of belief systems. When
we perceive that the only difference between any of us is our beliefs and
that those beliefs can be created or discreated with ease, world peace will
ensue - and as the right and wrong counter create game winds down, a
co-creation game will unfold. Q: How can our readers find out more about Avatar?
A: Anyone who is
interested can receive a free copy of the Avatar Journal or free introductory tape by writing:
